Please join us Thursday, March 14th for our monthly meeting. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:15AM, with the presentation to immedately follow from 12-1PM.

Speaker: Ashley Varol, Wellness Manager with University of Cincinnati
Ashley Varol, PhD, is the Employee Wellness Manager for Be Well UC at the University of Cincinnati. Her role allows her the chance to talk about all facets of wellness and assist her colleagues in a variety of formats – through a portal, via the web, in person through presentations and activity based programming and events as well as through phone based coaching. Her career began in Campus Recreation and through her participation on various committees the new role was created and she was able to launch the wellness program in 2015. Ashley is a Bearcat through and through, as she’s been on campus since 2002 when beginning her undergrad. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science, and both a Master’s of Education and a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Promotion and Education. Though she supports her Bearcats, she is also an adjunct faculty member at Xavier University, teaching kinesiology and emergency preparedness in the Sports Studies program. In addition to this work, Ashley serves as a Subject Matter Expert and Master Trainer for the American Council on Exercise, which certifies and professionally develops fitness instructors, personal trainers and health coaches. Ashley’s hardest role by far is being a mom to Gabriel (5), and twins Ari and Ayla (2).
