Speaker: Dr. Gregory J. Levitt PharmD.

I graduated in 2005 from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine before going on to work for CVS and Mt. Carmel East Anticoagulation Clinic. In April of 2010 I was given the opportunity to head up the Adena Anticoagulation Management Service and I have been there for more than 8 years. The ACMS is a service where patients who take the anticoagulant warfarin can have their levels managed in an outpatient setting,  decreasing the occurrence of bleeding events and achieving better overall success preventing heart attacks, strokes and blood clots. Since 2010 we have grown the Anticoagulation Management Service to where we now service 4 locations and staff 3 full time pharmacists. In 2017 we expanded our services to include smoking cessation training at the Adena Quit Clinic. At the Quit Clinic, we provide a customized one on one plan to help those who use tobacco products to finally kick the habit and improve their quality of life. We pride ourselves on being accountable for all of our Anticoag and Quit Clinic patients so they never feel that they are without adequate support.  I feel very fortunate that Adena has given me the opportunity to improve the lives of our patients in both capacities.
